Ready to leave their county coat of arms in the past where it belongs, Putnam County’s council set out to freshen up their image by starting from scratch. In meeting with the council, they stressed wanting certain elements that they felt represented their area to visitors and locals alike – sun, water, and land. Putnam County offers a lifestyle that is very outdoors oriented.
My goal was to make an icon using these elements that could stand alone. The result was a recognizable and modern brand. Its usage would range from all county trucks and vehicles, as well as, the local water tower.
Putnam County pride is on full display with branded merchandise that would be available for both county workers as well as citizens and visitors.
